KOAA News5 Investigates is looking for an investigative reporter to join our award-winning team.  We need a hard hitting multi-media journalist with insatiable curiosity, the ability to get answers to tough questions, and the desire to dig deep. You must be able to present complex stories in compelling fashion on the air and online.

You will join a team of dedicated journalists who excel on all platforms. We offer IRE training opportunities, the support of an investigative producer, access to a strong legal team and consulting group, and the time and tools to do the story right.

We have the best photographers in the market, but you also must be able to shoot and edit. Experience with ENPS, Velocity, Social News Desk, the FOIA and CORA process and media law basics, are a plus.

Successful candidates will be team players who bring actionable, enterprise story ideas to the table every week. Attention to detail, the ability build and keep contacts and to follow up are musts. If you are always ordering new business cards because you hand out 20 a day; if you are the go-to reporter when everyone else is worried about ruffling feathers; if you thrive on leading the newscast with a story no one else has – you’re the reporter we want.
