KPAX-TV/KAJ-TV is looking for an MMJ/Bureau Chief in beautiful and bustling Kalispell, Montana.

 

The ideal candidate can capably report and produce daily news stories for two daily newscasts on KAJ-TV, which originate from KPAX-TV in Missoula, MT. As Bureau Chief, you will coordinate the activities of a second MMJ and communicate with KPAX-TV news and technical staff for daily content planning and technical support.

 

Your coverage area ranges from the Flathead Lake and Mission Mountain Range to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Border.

 

As well as a breathtaking environment in which to work, this region is abundant with skiing, hiking, camping and nearly every other outdoor activity you can imagine for your spare time.

 

You must understand and incorporate social media material into your workflow on every front - from reporting to producing to promoting in real time.

 

We’re looking for a team player who can edit video and meet all deadlines with a minimum of supervision. Ability to work under tight deadlines on a flexible schedule that includes weekends and some evenings is a must.

 

A Bachelor`s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent is required. Two years of television broadcasting experience is preferred, but not required. A valid driver`s license is required, good driving record and proof of auto insurance required.
