Newscast Director
KATC TV3, an ABC affiliate in Lafayette, LA, has an immediate Full Time opening for Newscasts Director. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years newscast production experience. Job description may include directing our half hour weekday and weekend shows along with doing required news cut-ins and help supervisor crew during their shifts. It may also include operating studio audio for broadcasts, running graphics and posting content to our website at KATC.com, as well as other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or News Director. Strong leadership qualities are a must for this position. College degree preferred but not required. Candidate must be a self starter who is able to work well with others in a fast pace environment and be able to communicate effectively. Candidate must be able to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Mornings, weekends, and holiday shifts are sometimes required.
Candidate should have a clean driving record as he/she will be subject to a background check and drug screen.
