Content Management Center/ Web Producer Position
KATC TV, an ABC affiliate in Lafayette, LA has an immediate opening for a Full Time Content Management Center/Web Producer. This person will work to gather, organize, and disperse news content on all of KATC platforms including the following: TV, website, social media, mobile, etc. Should be a journalist who can generate new content, write effectively using AP standards, and communicate the plan with fellow employees. This is not an entry-level position. Experience as a producer or on an assignment desk is preferred. The shift is expected to be Monday-Friday, from 5:00 am until 2:00 pm. Comparing to traditional newsroom roles, this would be a mix of an assignment desk manager and web producer, with the most time spent on updating katc.com and our social media sites.
Candidate must be able to pass a Drug Screen Test and must be able to meet Company Vehicle Requirements.
