KPAX-TV, a CBS affiliate is searching for a dynamic reporter to join our award winning and top rated news team in Missoula, Montana.    Applicants must be able to develop contacts, enterprise unique stories, cover a regular beat, and be a compelling storyteller.  In addition, successful candidate will be called on to anchor as needed.   KPAX-TV is part of Cordillera Communications and the Montana Television Network.  Missoula is a vibrant community, home to the University of Montana and located near Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park.  This is an outstanding career opportunity.

Experience Required:

Candidates must be able to shoot compelling video and use a non-linear editing system.  We need a reporter who will aggressively cover hard news, ask tough questions and also be able to turn a compelling feature story.  Previous reporting and anchoring experience is a plus, as is the ability to do investigative pieces.  Applicants must be able to thrive under deadline pressure, contribute to social media platforms, and be a team leader.

Education Required:

A college degree in Journalism or related field is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Valid Montana driver’s license, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance required.
