KATC TV3 has an immediate Full Time opening for Weekday Morning Newscast Director. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years newscast production experience. Job description includes directing our two and half hour morning show from 4:30a.m. to 7 a.m. along with doing required news cut-ins and serve as crew supervisor during the morning shift. It may also include operating studio audio for broadcasts, posting content to our website at KATC.com, as well as other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or News Director. Strong leadership qualities are a must for this position. College degree preferred but not required. Candidate must be a self starter who is able to work well with others in a fast pace environment and be able to communicate effectively. Candidate must be able to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Mornings, weekends, and holiday shifts are sometimes required. Must be able to meet company vehicle operation requirements.
