The number one NBC affiliate located along the front range of the Rocky Mountains is looking for an Assignment /Content Desk Manager. This is a critical position in the news room and a key part of the newsroom management team in a highly competitive market.
We are looking for unflappable and nimble multi-taskers with great news instincts. You must be able to build relationships in the community, and get off the desk to get the story. Successful job candidates will be highly organized, calm and cool under pressure and have a great sense of humor. You must have a proven track record of building reliable sources, and breaking investigative pieces. We live and breathe investigative work – it is our brand from top to bottom.
Forward planning is the key to this job. Show us your proven track record of long term planning and special events coverage. Job duties include: managing newsroom resources, posting to social media and web, launching breaking news alerts, managing school closings, and running morning planning meetings. Familiarity with Colorado, FOIA and CORA are a plus. Newspaper experience strongly considered.
