The number one NBC affiliate located along the front range of the Rocky Mountains is looking for an Assignment Desk manager.  This is a critical position in the news room and a key part of the newsroom management team in a highly competitive market. We have the largest staff of reporters and photographers in town and are the Colorado Broadcasters Association station of the year.

We are looking for unflappable and nimble multi-taskers with great news instincts. You must be able to build relationships in the community, and get off the desk to get the story. Successful job candidates will be highly organized, calm and cool under pressure and have a great sense of humor. You must have a proven track record of building reliable sources, and breaking stories.

Forward planning is the key to this job. Show us your success in long term planning and special events coverage.  Job duties can include: generating story ideas, managing newsroom resources, posting to social media and web, launching news alerts, managing school closings, and running morning or afternoon planning meetings, as well as long term planning. Familiarity with Colorado, FOIA and CORA are a plus. TV reporters and Newspaper alums strongly considered.
