KRTV 3

KRTV 3 serves the Great Falls, Montana, market. In 1958, KRTV signed on. Under Joe Sample, KRTV became the flagship station for the Montana Television Network. In 1986, KRTV became a Cordillera Communications/Evening Post Publishing Co. property. For nearly two decades, KRTV has been the market leader, dominating news ratings in the morning, noon, 5:30 and 10 p.m. Through its CBS affiliation, KRTV has maintained market leadership.

The Great Falls Designated Market Area covers 14 counties in north central Montana and reaches more than 64,000 households. For comparison, the DMA is larger than the entire state of Pennsylvania. KRTV also operates KXLH in the state capital, Helena.

Great Falls has strong military ties. It's home to Malmstrom Air Force Base and the 120th Fighter Wing of the Montana Air National Guard. Great Falls is proud of its award-winning public schools.
