KBZK 7

The combined broadcast power of KBZK 7, in Bozeman, Montana, and sister station KXLF 4, in Butte, Montana, brings the "Montana's News Station" signal to Southwest Montana.

Both KBZK and KXLF transmit their signals from full-power digital (HDTV) transmitters. The stations are interconnected through a unique two-way microwave system, enabling them to simultaneously broadcast CBS, syndicated and local programming.

The KXLF signal serves the greater Butte market, while the KBZK signal serves the Bozeman and Gallatin Valley area.

Commercials can air in combination on both stations, covering the entire DMA, but each station also has the ability to insert commercials independently. This unique technical feature affords our customers better ability to target specific audiences.

According to Nielsen Media Research, November 2009:

  • Almost 40 percent of all adults watching TV at 10 p.m. are watching the news on KBZK/KXLF.
