Topical Producer

Are you a news junkie? Does breaking news get your blood flowing? If have a passion for writing compelling teases, KVOA, the NBC affiliate in beautiful Tucson, Arizona may have a job for you.

This person will work primarily on daily news topicals (nightside) and on other projects as needed. Candidates must be able to target the most promotable stories within a newscast and build an effective rapport with newsroom personnel.

Winning candidates will have outstanding writing and producing skills, as well as the ability to work as a team player. You must be able to write, edit and ingest under tight deadlines plus be able to do live cut-ins during breaking news. Two years experience and the ability to edit on non-linear systems like Final Cut Pro is required.
