Morning Show Anchor

KATC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Lafayette, LA, is seeking a full-time anchor for our #1-rated morning show. We are looking for a team player with at least two years of anchoring experience that complements the other anchors.  We need a storyteller, with solid news judgement, and extensive liveshot experience.   Those who are only looking to "read the news" need not apply.  The journalist we hire will be responsible for generating content for not only our newscasts, but for our website and our social media platforms and contribute in unique ways to our overall product.  Sell yourself in your cover letter.  Outline why you are the best candidate and what you can offer that sets you apart from the pack.  We expect to receive a lot of resumes for this position, so make sure you stand out!  "Good Morning Acadiana" airs from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.  Following the show, this person will be working on either content for the evening newscasts or elements for the morning show for the next day.  No phone calls please because it will immediately take you from consideration.
