KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a qualified Broadcast Equipment Maintenance Engineer. Candidate must have at least 5 years experience at a broadcast facility. The position will provide technical support to broadcast facilities in repair, maintenance, installation and modification of technical broadcasting equipment at a high-definition television facility and at remote transmission sites. Experience with maintenance of broadcast ENG equipment (Panasonic P2 and non-linear edit a plus).

Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 and server 2008/2012 workstations, Mac OS & Final Cut Pro experience a plus. Applicant should be comfortable troubleshooting computer systems at the component level. Travels to remote locations for equipment repair, work under pressure in order to meet broadcast deadlines, make decisions and take corrective action without supervision are all a part of this job. Candidate will be required to maintain “on-call” or “stand-by” status for response to emergency situations and be able to work highly varied and flexible hours (i.e. nights, weekends and holidays). Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential.

In addition to working well independently, candidate must also work well as part of a team. Must be well organized, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) including a predisposition to providing excellent customer service. Candidate must be able to lift 25lbs.
