The National/Regional Sales Manager works under the direction of the National/Regional Sales Director to provide sales support/service duties pertaining to all national and regional advertising business including political advertising. Performs entry and confirmation of national and regional sales orders. Negotiates rates, spot placement and make goods maximize station revenue. Maintains communications with all rep offices and agencies and provides reports and projections on a weekly and quarterly basis.
Handles national and regional discrepancies, make goods, late runs in conjunction with the National/Regional Sales Director, Sales Assistant and Rep firm. Takes initiative to assist National/Regional Sales Director and national reps on requests, proposals, information, packages and posts. Maintains and updates national and regional account files, as well as public/political files during political years. Manages a list of accounts and meets monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals as determined by sales management.
Solicits, negotiates, schedules and books paid programming, including providing post log negotiations on paid schedules in conjunction with the National/Regional Sales Director and traffic department.
Manages Rep Medialine database on all national order confirmations. Oversees Medialine reports and manages WideOrbit schedules and inventory control on both national and regional business. Performs additional tasks as required by the National/Regional Sales Director and Director of Sales.
Strong written and verbal communications as well as previous National or Regional Sales Experience preferred. Software experience preferred; WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, Scarborough, Nielsen Local TV, MediaLine, and Microsoft Office.
