KATC TV3, an ABC affiliate in Lafayette, LA, has an immediate Full Time opening for a News Photographer. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years photographer experience. Job description includes being responsible for shooting video of assigned local news stories with or without a reporter, editing stories, handling assigned video equipment, taking care of assigned vehicle, interviewing, and operating live shots for KATC daily newscasts. In addition, videographer will be required to post video and stories to the website KATC.com, as well do any other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or News Director. College degree preferred but not required. Candidate must be a self starter who is able to work well with others in a fast paced environment and be able to communicate effectively. Candidate must be able to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Nights, weekends, and holiday shifts are required. Must be able to meet company vehicle operation requirements.
