Cordillera Interactive completes website tune-ups

With launches Thursday, Nov. 4, of the new KRISTV.com and KZTV10.com in Corpus Christi, Cordillera Interactive completed the launch phase of Operation Tune-Up, a reengineering project for Cordillera's 14 news station websites.

"Relaunching 14 sites in just a few months is quite a tall order, and it happened with minimum upheaval and maximum benefit," said Jay Small, president of Cordillera Interactive. "I am grateful for everyone's work to make this project a success."

Operation Tune-Up combined a substantial rework of the sites' architectures with new graphics and better tools for Cordillera journalists. The project's primary objectives, Small said, were improved browsing speeds, better browser compatibility, and easier-to-find, easier-to-read content.

"Our pages look better, work better and load much faster now," Small said. "The new common code base will allow us to roll out future enhancements more quickly and efficiently."

Joey Martin, CI senior director of operations, managed the project, including coordinating new application development with Synapse Multimedia, which provides content management services for Cordillera websites.
